Grace and peace be with you!
Presbyterian Church of Mt. Washington will be the new host location for the Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank in Mt. Washington, beginning in February. We are excited about the advent of this new ministry opportunity. This Food Bank was previously at St. Justin's Catholic Church in Mt. Washington. St. Justin's will be closing in February to join with St. Mary on the Mount. The Food Bank ministry will continue, just at our location. We are fortunate to have the devoted volunteers from St. Justin to continue working to administer the Food Bank, as well as pleased to be able to join with them in this ministry.
As many of you know, our church has faithfully contributed food and money to the Food Bank over the years. We are heartened to be able to expand our participation. If you are interested in volunteering, please do not hesitate to contact the church.
There is always a place of
welcome with fellow and sister travelers at Presbyterian Church of Mt. Washington. If you are looking for a place of peace and grace, come join us.
Do not be afraid. God is with us, now and forever. Joy to the
world!
Pastor Deborah Wilkinson
"A voice cries out: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all people shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
Isaiah 40:3-5
